Review highlights
Based on 1,069 reviewsReviews for bb.q Chicken Carrollton consistently highlight the restaurant’s flavorful and crispy Korean-style fried chicken, praised for its perfect balance of juiciness and crunch. Customers frequently mention the variety of sauces, particularly the savory, sweet, and mildly spicy options that enhance the chicken’s taste. Popular menu items such as boneless nuggets, galbi wings, and fried dumplings also receive positive feedback, with some suggesting additional dipping sauces to complement certain dishes. Portions are described as generous and satisfying, making it a favored spot for hearty meals. Some patrons note slightly longer wait times, attributed to fresh preparation and occasional staffing constraints, but agree that the food arrives hot and fresh, reinforcing the brand’s emphasis on quality and flavor.
I recently tried the BBQ chicken with both BBQ sauce and original sauce, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken itself was perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. The BBQ sauce had a wonderful balance of sweetness and smokiness, while the original sauce had a little kick to it—just enough spice to add extra depth without overpowering the flavor. The crispy texture combined with the flavorful sauces made each bite satisfying. If you like a bit of heat, the original sauce is a great choice, but both options are a tasty way to enjoy perfectly cooked BBQ chicken. Highly recommend!
Great chicken. Savory, sticky, spicy if you want it. Really good. Waffle fries a must. The fried dumplings are good. Need a sticky soy dumpling sauce for those though. But if you want a good, hearty, large portion lunch. This Is The Place!
THE BONELESS NUGGETS ARE SOOO FAT BIG AND TASTY ! 2nd time going me and my husband WOW soooooo tasty especially their cheesy frosting. Also get their secret sauce is sooo good ! And the ranch!
I’ve heard so much about this place it’s really good the food is fresh even the chicken when you get to the bone it’s white which means the chicken they use is FRESH. The inly thing is take a little bit longer than usual restaurants but maybe because they’re short staffed and the food comes out hot and fresh. We had fried dumplings, Galbi wings and original flavor 6pcs whole chicken . Everything was delicious and my favorite was how crispy the chicken is but still not crispy to the point it breaks down your teeth . Lol. But this one was perfect crunch.
chicken was good! sauce was savory and also has a hint of sweetness, i got the galbi (?) flavor it was super yummy. chicken itself was incredibly crispy. Rose tteokbokki was good and the cheese was definitely worth adding for the money!
I hadn’t originally planned on having BBQ Chicken. I was at a gathering at a nearby restaurant, and after finishing dinner, I was walking back to my car when I happened to see the BBQ Chicken sign. At that moment, I suddenly remembered the fried chicken my father used to bring home late at night when I was a child. That’s right—Korean fried chicken restaurants are more than just places that serve chicken. In the past, when Korea was not as prosperous, chicken was a special meal—a rare opportunity for parents to treat their children to good meat. What started as a simple fried chicken business has now grown so much that Korea has more chicken restaurants than McDonald’s locations worldwide. So, on impulse, I decided to stop by and ordered a box of Honey Garlic Chicken. When I got home and shared it with my family, I was amazed—it was even better than the chicken I used to have in the restaurant ! In Korea, chicken is traditionally a delivery food, not something you eat at a sit-down restaurant like in the U.S. This means that the sauce-coated chicken is designed to reach peak flavor and texture after a certain period. As the temperature slightly drops, the sauce thickens and seeps into the crispy batter, creating a chewier texture and an incredibly rich, umami-packed taste. That’s the real flavor of Korean-style seasoned chicken. For decades, countless chicken brands in Korea have competed fiercely, fine-tuning their recipes to ensure the best taste even after delivery time. BBQ Chicken is one of the top brands, constantly battling for the number two or three spot in Korea’s highly competitive market. Being able to experience this nostalgic flavor here in Texas, thousands of miles away from Korea, makes me incredibly happy.
DELISH! These wings are a MUST TRY. They have the special sauce. Crispy and crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The Honey Garlic is a whole vibe. Crunchy, sweet, flavorful and sticky. Spicy Original and the others have their own pizzazz, but Honey Garlic is what I’m here for. They offer sides, we usually grab the fries and fried dumplings. Family size booths, place is clean and festive, service is friendly, food is brought as it’s ready, and atmosphere is cozy with jazzy soundtracks playing in the background. If you like crispy wings, in a variety of flavor choices, try this place. You’re welcome.
Me and my bf went to have this delicious chicken. We ordered nine PCs of garlic honey wings and 9pcs of soy garlic with a side of sweet potato fries everything was delicious. It wasn't busy two small groups at a time so the waiters were very attentive.I would definitely come back here again. Total came out to around $41
